Introducing Laura Miller

Laura Miller is Editor-in-Chief and Founder of The SistaGurl Blog, which she uses to empower women to be their true selves; Confident, Strong, Honest, and most of all, POWERFUL.  She is a freelance writer who has written for Ebony Magazine, Jet Magazine and currently writes for Six Brown Chicks and Rolling Out Magazine. 

Additionally, Miller is now working in Music and Marketing as a coordinator at Chapman Products/Sheen Magazine in addition to being a host/producer on their live IG show Sheen Talk LIVE and the moderator for their new show HOT Tea. 

She is the owner and operator of SG Media and Entertainment, the latest installment of the SistaGurl Brand, where she provides media training, public relations, management, and corporate marketing strategies for organizations that are community-centered and diversity-focused. 

She started SG Media and Entertainment, yielding over eight years of journalist experience, three years of public relations, and a combined decade’s worth of corporate talent acquisitions, Human Resources, and Project Management experience. 

She actively utilizes her complete business, media, and entertainment experience to ensure her clients receive unique insight and strategic innovation that stand out from most of her industry’s competitors. 

This energized wife and mother of two dedicates her life to the freedom of expression and uses her words to impact and be a voice to the voiceless.

The Chicago native also hosts several live interactive series: SG Mystique LIVE, Black Men - Intellectual Property, and SG Girl’s love Hip-Hop. All of the formated shows highlight and exemplify community members and creatives in the African American community in hopes to recreate the narrative of Blacks in America.
